How to Follow God's Spirit (Part 2)

To walk in (agreement) with the Spirit we must agree that He is our Leader, and that we'll follow Him wherever He chooses to go.  So how do we know if we're in agreement with the Spirit? 

Two ways:

1.  We seek ONLY the Spirit’s goal.

2.  We feel perfect peace in our conscience.

What is the Spirit’s goal? 

Supremely honor the Lord Jesus Christ. 

If this is your goal, and your ONLY goal, then you agree with the Spirit’s destination.

A clear conscience lets you know that you agree with the Spirit at the present moment.  So check your conscience as of right now. 

Following the Spirit is a present tense reality. 

If you lack peace at this very moment, then you are somewhere the Spirit doesn’t want to be.

Tell Him you’re sorry. 
Ask Him where He wants to go. 

When you feel perfect and divine peace you are where the Spirit wants to be.

These two things are easy to know and do.

Imagine doing them with a human being. 
Imagine you and a man or woman want to go for a walk.   

It's easy to find out a person’s goal and to feel the harmony of agreement when walking with him. 

Just ask. 
“Where do you want to take a walk?” 
He tells you.  You agree.  You walk together. 

Just ask.
What do you want to talk about?” 
She tells you.  You agree.  You talk. 

Simple. 

The Spirit is a far better communicator of His desires than any man or woman. 

Just ask Him where He wants to go, and what He wants to talk about on the way. 

Agree to go there, and to talk about that. 

Simple.
