C.S. Lewis
I feel God listening behind silence and stillness. I feel Him in me and outside of me.
What does God feel like?
He feels like eyes and ears and hands, but more so the deep
reality behind these.
I feel truly seen and heard and touched, or connected
to. All the time. No matter where I am. No matter how I feel. I can feel these things if I choose, or
ignore them. Both are equally easy.
I feel God in the room when the room is filled with people
and when the room is empty. I can hear
God’s voice when it is loud or quiet.
How?
The same way I can hear my thoughts no matter what is going
on around me. But there is a Mind behind
my mind. This is the Mind of God. There is a Peace behind my emotions, whether
I am peaceful or not. This is the
Emotion of God. There is a Will behind
my will. Moving yet Immovable. This is the Will of God.
This is what God feels like to me.
