NEW BEGINNINGS (PART 3: How to experience REAL change!)

Having embraced the real change, they must embrace the possibility of change. It is written, “With God all things are possible,” and “All things are possible for those who believe.” The Creator is also the Re-Creator! He can make, unmake, and remake! With Him nothing is impossible. For those who trust in God’s absolute power, nothing is impossible either—including and especially a new beginning. God’s power to create and recreate, the power of people to simply trust him, and the nature of change itself gives much confidence to those who seek to persevere in the New Year.

The nature of change is permanence! Therefore, embrace the possibility of permanent change! This is what people fear about the New Year: that they will fail to see their resolutions through. But the truth is, everyone who has stopped smoking, for example, did so once and for all, at some real point in their lives. Maybe New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day. Maybe their birthday. Maybe a day they can’t even remember. One thing is for sure: there was ONE SPECIFIC DAY in which they smoked their last cigarette! After that day, and until this day, they never smoked again! All things are possible for God, and new beginnings are according to His will! He sent Jesus so that people would be born again--new creations, sins forgiven, as though they never happened!
