What motivates mind change?
The Truth.
Jesus said that those who constantly listen to and obey his
words would know the truth. This knowledge
of the truth would set them free from sin, or addiction.
This implies that lies enslave.
Smokers believe lies.
Drug addicts believe lies.
Every vice is based upon deception.
Those who want to change their minds and lives must want and
love truth.
As Jesus said, all who are of the truth hear his voice. They will hear the words that set them free.
Everyone who has read these blogs so far has been motivated
to start a new life this New Year.
The days are passing, and the excitement of the 2013 is fading.
What is the Motivation for Transformation?
- Negatively speaking, it is a life or death necessity to change behavior. The cigarette addict will die if he or she won’t stop smoking.
- Positively, it is a desire to be better this year than last year. To become what one hopes to be. To leave behind regrets and act in a way that inspires.
The truth about death will set the addict free.
The truth about life will set the hopeful free.
